Temprecision International is your partner for sustainable solutions. Our global Research & Technology team is committed to working with key partners to continue bringing product innovation to the industry.

Temprecision® Foam is now available in a degradable option. The thermal performance of this sustainable product will remain unchanged.  Our new Temprecision® Foam will degrade 97% in 273 days in an anaerobic environment (ASTM D5511).  Test report available upon request.  We also offer recyclable film options and innovations such as notched edges for easier opening of the film for proper disposal.

Over the last 20 years, Temprecision International has been working to reduce Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) emissions in the process of producing the foam.  A ThermaBrick® Refrigerant Brick produced today, was made with 57% less VOC emissions than the same ThermaBrick® Refrigerant Brick produced in 2002.

History

Temprecision International is a legal subsidiary of Smithers-Oasis, a world-class manufacturer of innovative foam materials committed to supporting our customers worldwide with quality products and services customized to meet their needs.

Since its very beginnings in 1954, Smithers-Oasis was exploring new applications for its foam technology while staying grounded in the goal of solving problems for customers. The drive for innovation led to the earliest account of Smithers-Oasis using its foam technology for temperature control packaging in the late 1990s, when samples were used as “ice bricks” for shipping frozen steaks. By 1999, Smithers-Oasis was an active supplier in the temperature-controlled packaging marketplace. The business grew from a U.S. business into Temprecision International, a global organization, which was formed in 2018 with the goal of manufacturing temperature control products for high and consistent performance in temperature-sensitive logistics applications or industries requiring cold chain management. Our products are used in pharmaceutical, food, and other temperature-assured packaging applications.
